Bob Dylan: His Life in Malibu, Death of His Former Girlfriend, Suze Rotolo Who was on His 2nd Album and His Tour Kicking Off April 3

Freewheelin' was Bob Dylan's second album.  It was released in 1963.  The photograph was taken on West 4th street and the corner of Jones in Greenwich Village, New York, where the couple had an apartment down the block. The photograph was taken by a CBS staff photographer, Don Hunstein.

Bob Dylan who is now 69 years old lives in Malibu these days on a 5 acre piece of property with a house that is described as a farm house. He has chickens, dogs and horses.  It was reported that he had gradually bought more and more land in the very exclusive part of Malibu over the years to maintain his property. The area in Malibu is known as Point Dune that has some of the most beautiful views of the ocean.  Mr. Dylan is not seen much for he seems to keep to himself most of the time.  It was reported that one of his dear friends, Suze Rotolo, and former girlfriends had died on  February 24, 2011 from lung cancer. She had dated Bob Dylan in 1961 at the age of 17 and the relationship had lasted for 3 years.  She was an artist and social activist who had written a book, A Freewheelin' Time, which was a memoir of life in Greenwich Village in the 1960's. Ms Rotolo had dated Mr. Dylan for 4 years and was featured on his second album, Freewheelin'. Bob Dylan will be kicking off a Never ending tour on April 3, 2011 in Taipei.  He will be going to China, Australia and New Zealand.  He will take a break and return to the tour in June doing Europe; Ireland, England, Italy, Germany and Denmark.  The photograph of Mr. Dylan and Suze Rotolo is priceless and the album is one of the best ever produced.
