Word on the street XXI

...Another Way to Love is a charity event featuring a fair trade market and op shop, as well as heaps of other great stuff, including performances, art exhibitions and a volunteering expo. This is gonna be huge. Insert a big fat plug for my friend's band The Fountainhead. See them there this Saturday 29 August, starting at 5pm at Seaton Christian Family Centre. Tickets are $10 at the door.

...the Kokoda - Trek for Charity Gala dinner in support of the Make-a-Wish and McGrath foundations is also this Saturday at 7pm at the Hilton. Penny Anne will be launching the new 'Promesse Me Anything' collection as part of the night's fashion parades. Tickets are $150.

...the Balaklava Cup is nearly on again and what better way to watch it than from the Finesse Fashion Marquee! Local designer Razak will be presenting new designs, and there are freebies for everyone, as well as all the usual gourmet food and drinks. Tickets are $150 here.

...on the store are some vintage Calvin Klein shorts and a Marnie Skillings 'Jewel Cardi' from the A/W 2008 collection!

As for me? I'll be spending it up in Melbourne this weekend thanks to the lovely ladies at Sportsgirl! Can't wait.
