Michael Gough was born on November 23, 1916  in Malaya (now known as Malaysia) of British parents.
He had been in more than 100 motion pictures. He is known for being in the Hammer horror films in the 1960's and 70's. He last acting job was when he did the voice of a dodo bird in Alice in Wonderland in 2010.
He was married 4 times. Most Americans know him for his role as Bruce Wayne's butler, Alfred,  in Batman.
