Charlie Chaplin was born on April 16, 1889 in Walworth, London, UK. He died on December 25, 1977 in Vevey Vaud, Switzerland at the age of 88 years old. In honor of what would have been his 122nd birthday, Google had made a silent film to be featured on the home page.  Ryan Germick who is the team creative leader in the Google Doodle department was in charge of the content.
