"Arthur" Great Cast, Not Great Results: Film stars: Russell Brand, Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner: Film danced to a tune of 12.6 million opening weekend

Russell Brand and Helen Mirren in Arthur, Warner Bros. The film opened this weekend to a tune of 12.6 million dollars in America.  It was distributed to 3276 theaters and the expected number was about 15-16 million according to the Hollywood Reporter.  Russell Brand also voiced the character in HOP which did come in number one this weekend again in America.  Since RIO was such a huge success with it's international release, it is expected that the film will take over the first weekend of release in America.
