Chelsea Handler: New Sit Com, "Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea" on the Horizon for Funny Lady: Success Keeps Knocking at Her Door

Chelsea Handler was born on February 25, 1975

Chelsea Handler grew up in Livingston, New Jersey.  Her dad a Reform Jew and mother a Mormon. She was the youngest of 6 children.  It was mentioned in her bio that she grew up in a neighborhood where everyone had a Mercedes except her family who had a Ford Pinto.  At the age of 19, Chelsea had moved to Los Angeles to launch her career in comedy.  She eventually did stand up and some TV shows.  Girls Behaving Badly on the Oxygen network was one of the shows she had worked on. She is the only female today to have her own late night talk show. It was renewed to run thru 2012 on the E network.  TV Guide had announced that she will be the executive producer of her own sit com called, Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea.  The show is about a female sexually aggressive bar tender who is very outspoken. The show is  expected to be on NBC this fall.
