Katie Couric From: "Today Show" to "Dateline NBC" to "CBS News" Anchor and" 60 Minutes" to Her Own Daytime Talk Show?

Katie Couric was born on January 7, 1957 in Arlington, Virginia.  She graduated from the University of Virgina and was married to attorney, Jay Monahan until his death in 1998.  The couple had 2 girls.  Katie got her first big break as a co-host of the Today Show on NBC in 1984.  She had worked on Dateline NBC and in 2009 she landed the spot of Anchor of CBS Evening news.  On May 19th she will leave her seat there and move on to another chapter in her career. According to the Hollywood Reporter,  there is speculation that she will be launching her own syndicated daytime TV talk show on ABC. Katie is well liked and had done a fantastic job on the Today Show and is sure to be successful in her new venture. It is wonderful to see her keep evolving in her career.  She is a great role model for those who want a career in broadcast journalism.
