I done the switch to SSD last night in the Mac Mini. I used the Intel X25-M SATA 80GB SSD and used Carbon Copy Cloner to Clone the New and old drives.

It's not myspace so much folks as it is all the relatively novice computer users dumping all sort of odd code into their page. WMP is a problem simple because we dont have the latest version windows user have, the easiest thing to do is go to the security tab in safari preferences and un check enable plugins, since ive started that ive not had a single myspace crash.

It's definitely possible to mess up the jailbreak, but dam near impossible to brick your iPad...
you can always do a factory restore... and when you can't (meaning you bricked it), and you're still within your warranty, just take it back to the Apple Store and get another..
if you can't restore it, they won't be able to either.. ;) :apple:
not right then and there, so they'll give you another iPad for you to go home and try to jailbreak all over again... or your experience will have scared your desire to jailbreak right out of you...

The 27" ACD works absolutely fine with the Apple OEM 5770 upgrade card with MDP, also with the 5870. After all, why would Apple sell these graphic cards if they didn't work with their only display? Further, my 5870 and 27" ACD get along like a house on fire. Note that you have to buy the Apple cards, not just a standard PC card like you seem to be implying
The first generation of ATI 5-series cards for PC didn't actually didn't follow the DisplayPort port specifications properly, and do have compatability issues with Apple products. That being said, your absolutely right peskaa, the issues were fixed with Apple OEM cards (but ppl who want to throw in any PC card just beware the 5- series cards are hit and miss on compatibility).

They both sound way too expensive for the specs involved. You should be able to find a DP 2.0ghz Powermac G5 for around $200-250 these days. An iMac G4 should not sell for over $100 imo, unless its the rare 20" model.
If you are short on cash but still want some power, look towards the higher end Powermac G4's. A DP 1.25 or 1.4ghz powermac will outperform the SP Powermac G5, and can usually be had for about $150.

I'd give it a 9. The only knock against it being the ability to get in and mod it easily. I come from the PC world where I built my own machines and constantly tweaked and upgraded them over time. I've had my current iMac for 4 years and just ordered another of the new ones. They are incredibly powerful for an all-in-one and it just works. As it turns out I didn't really need to do much modding except for RAM, which is easy. I've had absolutely no problems with my current iMac. Wife is getting that one and my 7 yr old is getting her MacMini.

The MBP arrived today - it's condition is immaculate, even the box is perfect. I found exactly one hair in the keyboard - that's the only sign it was used, ever. This seller has been very professional and has provided great communication throughout our transaction. I would definitely buy from him again.

Hello all....this is my first post this to this forum as I am a new Mac user. Great site...
Anyway, I recently purchased a 12"Powerbook...which rocks by the way....Can anyone recommend a great wireless router? I was going to invest in the Airport Extreme for the compatibility however the reviews I have read say this isn't the best router out there for the $$$$.
Any suggestions?

Sorry, I figured it out... at least i figured out how to fix it... not certain why it happened.
I just removed the picture folder I had it pointed to and re-added and that fixed.

The issue wasn't addressed in 4.3. Apple doesn't find it a problem. They did it on purpose. Is anyone working on a way to fix this? It seems that the reduction of power has to be a software control not a hardware control thus it should be able to be changed by someone with programming/jailbreak experience. Any help would be appreciated!
Too bad - I know it can be resolved by using a powered USB hub for the connection, but that's not very elegant. I was hoping perhaps Apple would have conceded that there are some very good reasons for reinstating the 100 mA limit. On the plus side, I hadn't spent the money on the connector yet.

It is very easy to jb 4.2.1 now. The improvements to the OS certainly make it worthwhile as does the ability to run all the latest apps. Virtual memory hack is no longer required.
Is it?, is there a really easy to use tool for a proper (untethered) jailbreak?. I've not looked upgrading from 3.2 as I'm not interested in any of the new features, but I keep seeing games I can't buy because I don't have a new ios.

You might try turning off passive mode...I've had it make some problems for me when I was behind a heavy school firewall and some packet shapers...give it a shot.says "getting folder list..." for a very long time in 'Port Mode'.
