Get the latest version of TinyUmbrella. It needs to be updated each time a new firmware is released.
One would think he'd get the idea when it pops up and says "New Version Available, Please UPDATE NOW" whenever it loads. LOL, but alas, never OVERestimate people, hehe

To anyone who has experience or has worked at Apple can you give me the positions of a retail store by rank? like genius, specialist, store manager being #1 obviously, etc. Also which position requires additional training such as going to Cupertino.
Lowest - Concierge
2nd Lowest - hourly sales rep(paid low.. like 10 or 9 an hour)
Middle - Product Specialist
The highest being Genius at almost 20 dollars an hour...
The ABSOLUTE HIGHEST - General Manager of the retail store.. and of course the top is: DISTRICT MANAGER.
Personally, I hate RETAIL as it takes away time from family and other important tasks one needs.. Plus I prefer 9-5 with weekends off. I am an Administrator for a small, family size firm and my hours are not retail.. been there done that - retail has no future, and from what I heard how reps are treated in an apple retail store, a lot complain about the pay which is too low and with gas prices going sky high and food prices also(recession ISN'T OVER, but RE-GENERATING), its impossible to survive on the rate of pay for a retail sales rep.
If you want to make it in the Apple Store, I'd suggest Genius or if you have managerial experience, Store Manager.

Hi, I want to put some CD's that I purchased on my iTunes to put on my iPod. The only problem is that I am getting a new laptop soon, my BlackBook is dyeing.)))): Well, so far I have bought all my music on iTunes, but it's so expensive. I bought many CD's like I said, and I'm putting them on iTunes. When I plug the iPod into a new computer, it would ask me if I wanted to transfer my purchases. And everything that I bought would transfer. The songs that I got from other websites wouldn't transfer. But If I import the CD's through iTunes, will it still transfer to the new computer? Or do they have to be bought from iTunes?

Its now 9.50 and the queue is forming well infront of the Apple store,touchwood. I have heard rumours abound that white models are limited and iPad stock isn't as many here as the bigger london stores, so if your planning to be a late comer cancelled your meetings, leave work early or just cry off ill, because your going to be waiting in line a long time and your going to be very angry if stock has gone. people started turning up near 6.30am and the line is getting bigger.

I did just that, threw my unused iPhone 4 sim in my new iPad 2 and got a nasty message this morning from AT&T basically telling me that I had 30 days to get a proper plan on it or I would be cut off.
I called AT&T and had them switch my iPhone 4 plan to the iPad post pay plan and it's all good!
I was actually surprised that they did it, but ask for a supervisor. The front line reps are not trained well on the new post pay plans.
If you just want to do it occasionally, you probably should be fine but just be aware that they can almost immediately tell if you switch em.

Thanks for the advice all. I am still thinking about it, but since the newer model is going to come out next year I may go with the newer one.
On the other hand, a good rule of thumb is never to buy a first generation of anything. In this case, a new design...so we will see.

Ill be going to the Apple store at the Falls. Even though the At&t store is close by but I have a feeling a lot of people will be going there to activate their phones for the first time.

Who knows someday they'll be worth something. On par with vinyl? I think there is always a vintage crowd out there and in the future too. I hope you don't have to wait until you are old and gray before you see your CDs appreciate in value (sentimental and monetary).
Imagine 200 years from now on the Antique Road Show (PBS), your great-great-grandchild is astonished to hear the value of your CD collection! :D

I' spent most of the weekend editing 16-bit 6MP images in Photoshop CS on my mini, and while it was a little slow when saving and duplicating layers it was still more than adequate. I've got the 1.42GHz mini with 1GB of RAM.
I agree a PM is more suitable and reckon I'll buy one within 12 months but as a cheaper alternative the Mini makes a great stop-gap.
