We will start a system of monthly recurring payments today.
It will be using paypal. We have had paypal for over a year now and its easier to setup that way.

We need a few catchy words to put in a community newsletter. This is for people who don't know about IV. It has to be something that will make people click on the text and come to IV website.
Here are a few suggestions I have got so far:
"Do H1Bs have the right to free speech? Check out ImmigrationVoice.org letter campaign working for you."
"Please join Immigration Voice and participate actively in the Administrative Fix campaign"
"If you are in this country legally, prepare for getting whacked"
"Is GREEN CARD holding up your future and career? - Liberate yourself by participating in the Administrative Fix campaign done by Immigration Voice.
Come on guys.. let your creative juices flow.. but keep it very short.

Do you guys see what happens after January 2nd (or after 6 months of receipt date)....Most of the contractors (who applied their 485 in july) will look for permanent job OR demand more money from their employers...OR more benefits from employer. Employers try to be calm and don't conflict with us. What do u guys think??
Is it going to be tough for desi consultants to earn more money by placing their employees as consultants? Because there are already so many people ready to do permanent job.
May be some will fall in to that category. I know quite a few who have FT job and want to start consulting now. There is no single pattern for all.

Sorry if this question has been answered already. I searched and could not find any related threads.
My H1B is expiring in December (6 years). My 140 is approved and 485 is pending. I have my EAD card but still working on H1B. I can get a 3 year extension for my H1b as 140 is approved.
My priority date is Feb 2007.
Is it a good idea to renew my H1B even though I already have My EAD?
If I get the H1B extension, would I need visa stamping or can I use AP travel document and still be on H1B?

You can own shares of a company and be paid dividend too when you are on H-1B. Getting paid dividend does not mean the dividend paying company has to also sponsor your H-1B. In the same way she is just holding shares (may be 100%) in the company. As long as she is not being paid salary she is fine. She can work pro-bono during this period. You do not need EAD to be a owner (or share holder) of any company. She needs EAD if and only to be paid salary from this company. EAD is "Employment Authorization Doc". Let us form a group who are pushing to introduce Ammendment for Filling I485, AP &EAD when I140 approved/pending for 6 months, eventhough Cut-off dates are not reached for EB category immigration. Hey ..You could take GMAT training or something from Kaplan which issues F-1 Visa for 3 months which is the duration of the course. 20 hours of mandatory attendence is there per week and you cannot work during that time....but you are covered legally. First get an F-1 and then apply for a H-1. I did this in 2004.
