How Does an Olympic Swimmer End Up Marrying a Prince?: Story of How Charlene Wittstock Met Prince Albert II of Monaco

Charlene Lynette was born on January 25, 1978 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (currently Zimbabwe).Her family had moved to South Africa when she was 12 years old.  Her dad, Michael Kenneth is a sales manager and mother, Lynette  a swimming coach.  Charlene was a member of the women's Medley team for the 2000 Olympics representing South Africa.  She met Prince Albert II in 2000 at the Mare Nostrum  swimming event in Monaco  when she was only 22 years old.  In 2006 the couple were seen together at the Winter Olympics and moved in the same year  and by 2010 they were engaged.  The wedding took place on July 1, 2011 as a Civil ceremony. He is the son of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace (the famous actress Grace Kelly).  He was born on March 14, 1953.  He is 53 years old and she is 33.  He has been in Reign for more than 6 years.  He is reported to have several illegitimate children who will not be able to take over the throne.  However, if he and Charlene have a child then that child will.  Princess Charlene has been on record of saying that she does want to have children.  She is a beautiful princess and Princess  Grace would be very proud of her.
