The project stars most of the actors from the prequel, with new additions including Mallika Sherawat and Kangna Ranaut. It is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. It is scheduled for release on June 24, 2011.

Murder 2 is an upcoming Bollywood erotic thriller film and the sequel to the 2004 film Murder. The film stars Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. It is produced by Mukesh Bhatt and directed by Mohit Suri. It will be released on July 8, 2011. The theatrical trailer of the film was revealed on June 1, 2011. The film has been given an 'A' certificate from the Indian Censor Board.
