Nail Prism: Purple Diamond 03 LE

Well it's been awhile since I've posted a nail prism polish. So here's Purple Diamond 03, the Limited Edition version that comes in the little squat bottle. It's rather different to my standard issue bottle. Ones dark watery purple with a sprinkling of holo. The other is a warm violet purple with scattered holo.

The formulae on this version of the LE is much better than my standard version. I got away with using two coats.

Nail Prism: Purple Diamond 03

Well this is disappointing. My version of Purple Diamond 03 is a watery dull purple with a sprinkling of holo particles. I used three coats. I couldn't bear to anymore. The formula was watery and difficult to apply. Ok so it would have been easier if I had any patience!

Purple Diamond 03
Ok, I'll admit Purple Diamond does look pretty cool in a watery glaze kind  of way. The dull purple is actually more unique to my holo collection. I'll admit it, I actually like Purple Diamond...despite my complaints!

Nail Prisms: Mandarin Garnet 28

Just a quick Nail Prisms post today to show off the awesome Mandarin Garnet.

Mandarin Garnet is a pretty orange toned coral shade. Definitely orange toned, but not quite completely orange. It has a bit of holo goodness thrown in and was three coats.

Nail Prisms: Golden Cinnabar 10

Nail Prism of the day is Golden Cinnabar 10. Golden Cinnabar reminds me a lot of Nubar Stardust. Golden Cinnabar is more vibrant and the colours seem more saturated.

Golden Cinnabar is duochrome that goes between golden tones to pink to brown tinged pink. At some angles the gold appears to have a green tinge to it. I used three coats, but this was not one of the runny watery Nail Prisms.

Golden Cinnabar 10
I wasn't sure I would Golden Cinnabar after seeing other peoples swatches on the net, but I actually really like it. It has this warmth to it. And just for comparison here's a picture of Nubar Stardust. This time Golden Cinnabar wins.

Nail Prisms: Emerald Amethyst 05

Todays Nail Prism is Emerald Amethyst 05. Amethyst is one of those words I always want to spell wrong. I want to spell it Amythest. Luckily I know how to spell it, but it doesn't stop me almost spelling it wrong every time I type it.

Emerald Amethyst is a rather drab Nail Prism...or at least my version is. A dull greyed amethyst and more of an olivey green than an emerald. In saying that my pictures were taken on a rather cloudy day. I've been waiting patiently for some sunshine so I could get betters pictures...but the sunshine isn't coming back at the moment.

Emerald Amethyst 05
There's so much promise in the name...Emerald green and Amethyst purple. Emerald Amethyst conjures up a vision of a stunning vibrant green/purple duochrome...so I guess it was slightly disappointing. But it was almost a two coater, I did three because that's what I do. And I should appreciate the pretty duskiness and stunning duochrome that it does produce, but I own Nubar Purple Beach...and that wins hands down! I really need to get Emerald Amethyst in better lighting. Here's Nubar Purple Beach to compare. Although these pics are in better lighting so it's slightly unfair.

Nail Prisms: Diamond LE 01

Todays Nail Prism is Diamond. I have the Limited Edition version which produces a less linear holographic effect than the original version. Well as far as I can tell looking at swatches! Diamond LE has more of a fine scattered holo effect.

Diamond 01 LE
This was 3 coats. In awesome news...I have a brand new unopened bottle of Diamond 01 LE...which could possibly make an appearance in a giveaway at some point.

Nail Prisms: Ruby Topaz 37

Todays Nail Prism is another 'ruby' but this time it's gone pink not red.
Ruby Topaz is a very pretty pink toned ruby that flashes gold and neutral tones depending on the angle of you nails!

Ruby Topaz 37
I actually really like Ruby Topaz, it's a pretty feminine colour that would be suitable to wear for most occasions. It's subtle enough yet has a very pretty duochrome to it. This was three coats, although I could have worn four.

Sometimes I think these subtle colours may be prettier than the in your face colours. They're more elegant.

Nail Prisms: White Turquoise 35

Todays Nail Prism is not a crazy holo or duochrome. Instead it's a more sedated colour.

White Turquoise is exactly what it's name says. A pretty fresh white colour with turquoise shimmer. The turquoise shimmer was so hard to capture, but I promise you it's there and it's obvious!

I used 4 coats as this one was a rather sheer colour.

White Turquoise 35
White Turquoise is a very pretty relaxed colour to wear. It's appropriate for so many different situations, I'm even thinking it could work as a wedding polish. White Turquoise may not be a holo or crazy duochrome but it is a very pretty clean polish to wear.

Nail Prisms: Bronze Ruby 27

Todays Nail Prism is Bronze Ruby 27. When I first saw Bronze Ruby I thought "Why so many reds, they're all the same".

I have Scarlet Ruby, Bronze Ruby and Amber Ruby...I thought how many red duochromes can you really have? But they all have their differences. Amber Ruby is a very strong duochrome with a wider range of colours, Scarlet Ruby is exactly what it says...a duochrome that goes from scarlet to ruby.

And this is Bronze Ruby...

Bronze Ruby 27
Bronze Ruby is more of an orangey toned red. Well I'd say it had a bronze tone to the red and a bronze tone to the orange duochrome? A very pretty Autumn appropriate colour. This one was three coats as well, not four!

Nail Prisms: Burgundy Orchid 23

Continuing my Nail Prism series...today I have Burgundy Orchid to show you.
I am in love with the vibrancy of this polish.

The colours are amazing and so bright. It really does remind me of vibrant flowers.

Look at that amazing shimmer! not only is Burgundy Orchid an amazing chameleon, it has shimmer that appears blue toned!

Burgundy, pink, purple, blue...yum! Burgundy Orchid is a polish I will be rocking this winter! Even better...it was 3 coats. Not 4! Yes that is exciting for me...so many of the Nail Prisms are incredibly watery. Burgundy Orchid was watery...but less so. And anyway I can forgive it for being watery if it produces these amazing results.
