Line We Love : D&G MAN FASHION SHOW SUMMER 2012

The designing duo Dolce and Gabbana saluted the versatile foulard in the spring/summer 2012 menswear collection for their second line, D&G.

This collection was inspired by the silky printed Foulard .The whole collection is characterized by the use of foulards as the central element .

The D&G collection previewed the foulard, appearing in half a dozen patterns, formed the defining element of everything from blazers to shirts, from swim trunks to trousers.

Foulard prints turned up on suede moccasins and hats.

The theme was a great occasion to deconstruct clothes, and restitch them with a colorful silk cloth to create a contrast of fabrics.

Tapered silk trousers had a denim waistline. The back of a denim shirt was a large foulard print — great ventilation on hot days. Another jean shirt had silken sleeves.

Also they served up linen trousers and shorts, distressed denim pants and shorts and another staple for next summer: raffia hats.

D&G’s trademark finale featured bare-chested models in silk foulard bathing trunks, wearing brightly colored suede moccasins, striding en masse down the runway.

This collection gets my heart-racing, excited for a sojourn just about anywhere. Chic, cool, rugged but also aged and a little flamboyant, this is what I'd dream to wear in the summer.

laced up moccasins in super soft chamois with fringe detail, fedora hats with contrasting bands and sunglasses. Maxi shopping bags in leather details thought out also for the evening

Her staff is down to two workers, Solano and Raymond, who are more like best friends. Dismayed, Rena returns home only to see Tony parked at her door, and he wants to marry her and save the winery. Rena is beyond angry. His father did everything he could to drive all the small wineries out of business, and Tony wants to step in and make a wrong right.


MILLION-DOLLAR MARRIAGE MERGER is a fast paced read. The beautiful wine county of Napa sets the stage for family, love, second chances and forgiveness. Tony is a fine tuned sexy hero who knows what he wants and goes for it. Tony has always loved Rena, and he doesn’t want to marry her as a business deal. He wants a family. As vulnerable as she is, Rena agrees to marry Tony. That’s the easy part. Vulnerable because of her loss, Rena is no shrinking violet. Her resolve to save her family winery is inspiring. But will she give Tony a second chance?


What I enjoyed about MILLION-DOLLAR MARRIAGE MERGER was not just the romance, but also the excellent story line that weaves the characters together. This is the first installment of the Napa Valley trilogy; I look forward to the next chapter.

Review: Texan's Wedding Night Wager by Charlene Sands

Pride and lack of communication are at the root of the Charlene Sand's excellent story, Texan's Wedding-Night Wager.

Cara Pettigrew has not talked to her husband for four years. Now it is time to end the marriage and get a divorce. She agrees to meet with Kevin Novak so he can sign the papers but Kevin refuses to let her off easy. In return for his signature, Cara must remain in town for two weeks and then Kevin wants one final night. Kevin embarks on scheme to court and seduce Cara and when she falls in love with him, he will leave her just as she did him four years ago. Cara left those years ago because she felt she came in second to Kevin's work. Now she sees a different man and begins to hope there could be a future for them, until she learns the truth.

Both Cara and Kevin felt hurt and injured in their breakup but neither fully understood how the other felt. Charlene Sands does an excellent job of allowing us to view their opinions and feelings. Both were trying to protect themselves from more hurt and wanted to keep their heart safe. Intensely emotional and thoroughly satisfying, Texan's Wedding Night Wager will tug at our emotions and have us rooting for these two to put pride behind and talk to each other honestly. An A+ for Do Not Disturb Until Christmas!

Do Not Disturb Until Christmas is a guarantee to touch your heart and your emotions. Charlene Sands can do no less.

Cody Landon loved Sarah Rose as a teen but that love was shattered when Sarah left him to pursue her singing career. Now Cody is a rich businessman and Sarah a famous singer. Cody decides the time is right to get revenge, a perfect Christmas present. He already took the first step by seducing and leaving her but it was not enough. Code and Sarah have some serious tension between them. Their chemistry is smoking hot but Code carries a lot of anger inside of him. Would he be strong enough to let that anger go for the promise of happiness Sarah would bring to his life? For her part, Sarah is very lonely. While she is successful, she does not have many close friends and little opportunity to meet an honest and kind man. Code reminds her of her past and her hopes for the future. At times, Code was the very epitome of a man in love but he was also fighting a strong desire for revenge.

That conflict was interesting as Code was clearly yearning for Sarah, but was scared to admit it. I enjoyed watching these two rediscover each other as successful adults. Sarah and Code do not have an easy road together but that makes their romance that much sweeter to savor.
