Apple has reinvented themobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App Store, and has recently introduced iPad 2 which is defining the future of mobile media and computing devices."

"Worldwide Developers Conference is trending hot on Twitter thanks to an Apple press release about the software it plans to unveil at this year's gathering. Steve Jobs, who is currently on medical leave, will announce the release of Apple's new operating system, Lion, iOS 5, for the iPad, iPhone and iPod, and iCloud, Apple's foray into cloud services. Tech sites like Gizmodo have been speculating since March that Apple could very well release the iPhone 5 to accompany the latest iOS. But, in typical Apple fashion, that was absent from the press release, leaving Apple fans to wait and wonder in the days leading up to the conference."

Google Correlate: Great New Search Tool - Tutorial

Many search terms vary in popularity over time. To find terms that vary in a similar way to your own time series, enter your data using the link above. Or take a look at these examples to see which search terms.

Google Correlate is an experimental new tool on Google Labs which lets you use the same methodology and data as Google Flu Trends.

Google Trends:

"mittens"

Google Correlate:

What is Google Correlate?

Google Correlate is like Google Trends in reverse. With Google Trends, you type in a query and get back a series of its frequency (over time, or in each US state). With Google Correlate, you enter a data series (the target) and get back queries whose frequency follows a similar pattern.

Correlated Queries:

When you upload a data set (a time series, for instance), Google Correlate will compute the Pearson Correlation Coefficient (r) between your time series and the frequency time series for every query in our database. Correlation coefficients range from r=-1.0 to r=+1.0. The queries that Google Correlate shows you are the ones with the highest correlation coefficient (i.e. closest to r=1.0).

For example, say your data set was a sine wave from 2003-2010, so that 0.0 is the summer solstice and 1.0 is the winter solstice.

2/02/03  0.869
2/09/03  0.826
2/16/03  0.778

Google wallet on your phone- Hands-on Video

Google gave a snapshot of what your mobile can be with Google Wallet on May 26, 2011.. Along with Citi, MasterCard, First Data and Sprint, this mobile application will make your phone your wallet. You'll be able to tap, pay and save using your phone and near field communication (NFC).It is currently being field tested and will be released soon, says Google.

Google Wallet, will not only work with a select set of Citibank MasterCard credit cards, but also with the use of the built-in, prepaid Google Card, which will allow you to add funds from any credit card, while the payment will be made through the Google Card.
Google optimistically says that Google Wallet will account for 15% of the mobile phones on the market by the summer.
It all looks like Google's plan for the future on mobile commerce and offers, is the right one at the right time.
