Rod Stewart was born, Roderick David "Rod" Stewart on January 10, 1945. He was born and raised in the Highgate area of North London. He is Scottish and English and is the youngest of 5 kids in the family. He currently lives in LA with his third wife. He was married to Alana Stewart, model, Ratchel Hunter and currently happily married to Penny Dorchester. Stewart had worked as a grave digger before he got his first break in the music business. He met Ron Wood in a pub in London in 1964. His start in music dates back to 1967 when he teamed up with Jeff Beck in the group, Faces. In 1969 Stewart had gone solo. Since then he had sold more than 100 million records. He had 62 hit singles and 31 of those were in the top ten.He is successful in his music sales and financially. He owns a loves cars and one in particular is the rare Ferrari Enzo, which only 400 were ever made. Mr. Stewart recently had battled Thyroid cancer and is healthy these days. He had stated in an interview on Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN that he is paranoid about not being healthy. Stewart stated that his parents would be proud of his accomplishments. When asked what would he like his epitaph to say? Stewart stated, 'I am a simple man who got very lucky.' He will be touring with Stevie Nicks and will perform some of the best songs ever recorded.
