Elton John and his friend, Leon Russell
Elton John has a lot going on these days: He is a new father to a boy who was born on Christmas day and has the middle name, Levon. He had indicated how he loved being a dad.   American Idol  used his music for the show this past week. He just came out with an album with Leon Russell and touring.  He also was just on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and will be hosting  and will be the musical guest on SNL April 2, 2011.  In his interview with Jimmy Fallon, Mr. John talked about his music and Jimmy had some good questions. He was asked what was the most perfect song?  Elton said, 'I am always looking for that great song'. He mentioned how he loved, "Your Song," because' it is the first song I had ever written and I never get tired of it.'  He also loves Benny and the Jets for 'it is the only song that you know what it is when you only hear one chord.'  As for the singers who he envied, Elton said that he was a big fan of Rufus Wainright.  He did indicate that he could not believe that the group Kings of Leon would not allow their music on, Glee. 'It sends a positive message if someone wants to play your music and the Kings of Leon should lighten up!'  Elton's latest album is with Leon Russell and he loves that guy. He pointed out to Mr. Fallon how Leon introduced him to Bob Dylan.  Elton John will be hosting Saturday Night Live and will also be the musical guest. He will be performing with Leon Russell.  There is a documentary that will be featured at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City too.  Mr. John never looked happier and is such a talent that puts a smile on your face every time you hear him sing.
