Ann Curry New Co-host of "Today Show" with Matt Lauer: What you may not know about her

Ann Curry is the new co-host on The Today Show
Ann Curry was born on November 19, 1956 in Guam.  Her father was a career Navy man and mother is Japanese.   Ann had graduated from the University of Oregon.  Her first break in broadcasting came in 1978 when she worked as in intern at a NBC affiliate in Medford, Oregon. She later moved to Chicago and finally on March 11, 1977 she went to The Today Show in New York. In 2005 Ms Curry began hosting Dateline NBC.
She is married to Brian Ross who is a fantastic investigative reporter for the show.  The couple have 2 children.  Ann Curry will be the co-host with Matt Lauer  in June on The Today Show. She is replacing Meredith Vieira after hosting The Today  Show for 5 years.  Ms, Vieira announced leaving the show so she could spend more time with her family.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Today Show has had a half billion dollars in ad revenues for 2010.
