Kentucky Derby Women Will Be Sporting Their Designer Hats: One Woman Wil Be Wearing a Different Hat, Jockey Rosie Napravnik Will be the Only Female Jockey in Race Riding "Pants on Fire"

23 year old Rosie Napravnik. She is 5'2' and weighs 111 pounds

Rosie Napravnik riding Pants on Fire at the Louisiana Derby. She was the first female jockey to win the 1 million dollar purse in the 98 history of the race.

All eyes will be on Rosie Napravnik today in the Kentucky Derby.  She is the only female jockey who will be in the race in Louisville, Kentucky.  She hails from New Jersey and her mother is a horse trainer.  Julie had been riding horses her entire life. Most recently, she had won the Louisiana derby.  Diane Crump was the first jockey and Julie Krone is the only female rider who is in the hall of fame.  She left the business in 2004.  Lets wish her luck today.
