Scotty McCreery was crowned the winner of the American Idol Season 10 on May 25, 2011, making him the youngest male winner at age 17 and the second youngest winner ever behind season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, who was 17 when she won in 2007.
America crowned another 'Idol' in the tradition of Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze. America speaks and they voted for Scotty. This season's vote total was more than three-quarters-of-a-billion, Seacrest announced Wednesday.
