Word on the street XIII

There actually isn't anything at all on this week, so may I present a few fillers:

...Snaps from the Clothing Exchange designer swap on Tuesday night are online - more in this weekend's Sunday Mail. Don't mind my awkward hand-on-hip-I-wish-I had-that-camera pose. Don't miss the next event in August.

...Adelaide has a fantastic new online magazine, culture and events guide called Radelaide. It's well worth your time.

...Rumour has it that a local model agency got sacked from a very recent, very prominent fashion parade because they wouldn't donate any wages to charity.

Hold your groans

I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about Michael Jackson, but the man was my bloody hero. This post is not so much about him as it is about his relevance to current fashion. Blazers! Sequins! Epaulettes! Military jackets! Skinny trousers! Take inspiration from The Cut's glorious conglomeration of MJ images relevant only to the fashion scene. He had planned to launch a clothing line with Christian Audigier, although I think Balmain would have been a more appropriate partner. It's so obvious Christophe Decarnin adores the guy.
