...Adelaide has a fantastic new online magazine, culture and events guide called Radelaide. It's well worth your time.

...Rumour has it that a local model agency got sacked from a very recent, very prominent fashion parade because they wouldn't donate any wages to charity.

...Fashion Junkie fashion parade by Shop 5 and Oscar the Third is on this Saturday at Savvy Bar Lounge. Just be warned: parades don't start until after midnight.

...Okay I'm not in the country so seriously I have no idea what the bloody hell is going on, but I do know that there are some fantastic events coming up in June so look out.

...on another note, there is a nautical Talulah dress and a pair of vintage brogued mary janes in the store at the moment.

...Chasing Nel Charity Parade is on Thursday 25 June, 8pm at Sol Bar (Oaks Plaza Pier). Tix are $10 at Chasing Nel or $25 on the door so buy now! Proceeds to the Salvos.

PS: Sorry about the extreme lack of posts - I'm in the middle of crazy law exams at the moment and will be going overseas for two weeks in nine days' time! As a result I have been wearing my pyjamas for at least two days in a row. (And I'm not even embarrassed!)

...Zero is holding their fashion parade and party at Gang Hair Salon in town. It's on this Saturday at 7:30. Tix are $15 and available at Gang, Zero and realstore. Drinks provided.

...Pod Puraceuticals are giving free manicures at Myer in the city tomorrow and Saturday from 12-7 and 12-4 respectively. 

...Bardot is offering 20% off all full priced merchandise on Friday to celebrate the opening of their new Marion store.

...Heaps of new items up at the store: Banana Republic turquoise brogues, a velvet cropped jacket and a nude bodycon dress, to name just a few.

...another swap event which I am even more excited about! You can bring up to five designer or vintage clothing and accessories, and tickets cost $18 pre-sale or $20 at the door. Tickets are available at Vanilla Boutique or The Kings Head Hotel, and include bubbly, cocktail food, a fashion show by Vanilla boutique, and a gift bag. Proceeds go to the Royal Society for the Blind. It's this Sunday 27 April, 1-4pm at The Kings Hotel, King William St. Call 0418 118 571 for more details - quick, only 100 places available!

...Adelaide has spawned its own version of Melbourne's vintage bus tour. You, Us and a Bus takes four-hour journeys to eight mystery vintage destinations on 16 and 20 May. Tickets start at $20 and are available here.

Word on the street II

...Fashion Avenue is the latest parade to hit Adelaide, aiming to showcase up and coming designers to local media, established designers and boutique owners. 7-11pm, Friday 8 May at Queens Theatre (Cnr Playhouse Lane & Gilles St). Tickets are $30 pre sold or $40 at the door and include chandon on arrival; parades begin at 8pm.

...Who says you have to spend money to get more clothes? Retailers! Um, yeah. Well, don't fall for it, because My Sister's Wardrobe is coming to Adelaide this Tuesday (21 April). This is another fantastic style-swapping event which allows you to exchange your etiolated clothes at the back of the wardrobe for even more borderline unneccesary apparel! Quality is just about guaranteed, and on top of that you can be sure that only Adelaide's most stylish will be there. Admission is $18 online or $20 at the door and includes bubbly, and is held at Garage Bar (163 Waymouth St). Doors open at 6:30pm but actual swapping doesn't start till 7pm. (Lucky me, I reckon I can just make it there from work!) I am so excited about this that I think I might actually skip the Human Rights Community Roundtable. (Yes, I have the most ironic set of interests...)

...Another day, another eBay item. If you love H&M and tuxedo waistcoats as much as I do, bid. UPDATE: I just listed a lovely lace scarf as well!
