Erik Spoelstra (born November 1, 1970) is an American professional basketball coach and the current head coach of the National Basketball Association's Miami Heat. He is the firstFilipino-American head coach in the NBA, as well as the first Filipino-American head coach of any North American professional sports team.From 2001 to 2008, he served as assistant coach/director of scouting for the team. Dallas wins Game 2 over Heat- Video
The Heat use a late 9-0 run to pull even with the Mavericks at the first half. Miami’s stars celebrated a Dwyane Wade 3-pointer by dancing in front of the Dallas bench. It certainly seemed like a dagger shot, capping a 13-0 run to put the Heat up 15 with 7:33 remaining.

Shaquille O'Neal announced his retirement earlier according to the report from Associated Press, ending a career that spanned almost two decades and helped increase the popularity of the sport outside the United States.
Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal ( born March 6, 1972), nicknamed "Shaq" standing 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m) tall and weighing 325 pounds (147 kg), was one of the heaviest players ever to play in the NBA. Throughout his 19-year career, O'Neal used his size and strength to overpower opponents for points and rebounds.
Following a standout career at Louisiana State University, O'Neal was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. He quickly became one of the top centers in the league, winning Rookie of the Year in 1992–93 and later leading his team to the 1995 NBA Finals. After four years with the Magic, O'Neal signed as a free agentwith the Los Angeles Lakers. He won three consecutive championships, playing alongside Kobe Bryant, in 2000, 2001, and 2002. O'Neal's relationship with Bryant eventuallydeclined into a feud. O'Neal was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004, and his fourth NBA championship followed in 2006. Midway through the 2007-2008 season he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. After a season-and-a-half with the Suns, O'Neal was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played alongside LeBron James in the 2009–10 season.[1]O'Neal played for the Boston Celtics in the 2010–11 season before retiring.

CHICAGO - The Miami Heat staged a furious finish to beat the Chicago Bulls 83-80 on Thursday and advance to the NBA championship finals.
Miami went on an 18-3 run to the buzzer to stun the Bulls and complete a 4-1 triumph in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference finals.
The Heat will play the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA finals.
LeBron James led the Heat with 28 points, with Dwyane Wade adding 21 and Chris Bosh scoring 20.
League MVP Derrick Rose led Chicago with 25 points.
