Thank You

I have two awesome people say a massive thank you to today.

On Monday Liz from Liquid Jelly tagged me for the Kreative Blogger award.
If you haven't checked out Liz's blog you totally should. She posted a very awesome universe inspired mani on Monday.
I've already done the 10 facts about me last week...but I wanted to say thank you. It's always so nice to get an award! It's like my class in school assembly, they get so excited about the certificates that are handed out. Well I got very excited to be given an award!

The other person I need to thank is Sam. I received a very awesome package, that was bigger than I was expecting!

Sam was kind enough to offer to send me a bottle of Revlon Perplex. So I jumped up and down, did a little dance, and said yes please! I sent her 2 of the BYS colour change polishes (which I hope she loves).

Instead of one polish, Sam sent me 6! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Girly Orly's

Ahhhh! I had one of those mornings today. Actually it's been 'one of those' last couple of days!

I managed to blow a fuse and sink half my house into darkness, Nick missed his bus so I had to drive 40min to drop him in (when I wasn't ready and had to be at school), Mum's birthday was on Monday, it was Mothers Day Sunday...and mum's sick.

Oh and did I mention my dress fitting is only 2 weeks away...Ahhhh!

In awesometastic news the wii tells me I lost 2kg last week....so if I can just keep doing that losing weight thing...maybe the dress fitting will go ok! It just has to stay off until July 22nd! Good thing I love salad. Shame I'm not as keen on the exercise, but I'll keep it up!

talking off losing weight for weddings and other girly things...
Here's two gorgeously girly Orlys.

Catch the Bouquet
Catch the Bouquet is such a pretty girly polish. Shimmering baby pink with a pale blue flash and what could be a glass flecked finish. Oh so girly. Shame it's uber sheer and I have no patience...4 coats and all aboard  to glob-ville! If I had patience I wouldn't have that problem...

Supernatural
The bottle's not near me, and google wasn't much help, so I'm not sure if it's Supernatural or Super Natural...but that doesn't change the awesomness of this polish. So much more than a tired old neutral...Supernatural is a warm pink with stunning gold shimmer. Seriously it's pretty cool. I like it anyway!

I feel happy when...

Wow! Thank God it's Friday!

I feel so tired this week, I feel like I've been banging my head against a brick wall with my class...but hey they're 6 year olds their ears are painted on!
My catch phrase this week has been "I feel happy when..." and listing the good behaviour I see the kids doing. Positives are always better than focusing on the negatives, but I feel like a broken record all the same!

Anyway here's two of my latest Orly purchases. Taffy and Fantasea.

Taffy is a very pretty pale pink with gorgeous flecks. It's such a milky pretty colour that I don't mind the visible nail line. I originally picked Taffy up to try out as a wedding possibility. It does have possibilities! Taffy is just a girly, sweet, pretty polish. Love!

This may be four coats of Fantasea, but it's four coats that are completely worth it. Fantasea is a very pretty purple with amazing duo-chrome. The pictures say it all. purple, orange, gold....amazing. Look at that deeper purple around the edges. Stunning!

Haul!

Yesterday was a bad day. I was still getting over this head cold I had all weekend and it was stinking hot.
The kids lost it by the afternoon...and I thought it was still a good idea to do art?

So they weren't listening, mangaged to accidently spill a whole jar filled with blue dye and while I was sorting out the blue dye, one kid came with blood dripping out his mouth...luckily it was only a tooth! 6 year olds lose them all the time.

The dye went everywhere. All over the birthday girls birthday dress, all over another girls tshirt and then another girl managed to have her foot in the way...bright blue foot!

I guess I have to laugh now, but at the time when all the other kids were being nosey and tryingto but in I just had to yell stop. They've not heard me yell before, I try to stay calm...but they were so noisey I had to do something big to get everyones attention. Right after we had a chat about everyone being positive!

Then we had our staff meeting...Then I rushed home to get home before Nick.

The letter box was empty, the house was a mess and there were two parcels on the back door step. I squealed. I got very very excited. That meant my crackles had arrived!

Crushed Candy, Broken Hearted, Lightning bolt and Cracked Concrete.

First base, Matte about you and Good to go.

Catch the Bouquet and Supernatural. Honest these are very very different!

Monkey Business, In Stitches, Island Hopping and Sew Pysched.

Kisses and Bisses, Nice is Nice, Fondola Gondola and Sand of a Beach.

Cosmic FX...Part 2!

At lunch today I was looking at buying some polish from ebay, when one of my year 3 girls came in to ask a question. She got sidetracked by the pretty pictures on my computer screen and forgot her question before exclaiming “are you buying more nail polish?” in a tone much like my mother uses.

Talking about more nail polishes the second part to the Orly Cosmic FX collection arrived today. The bright colours.

Haleys Comet went straight onto my toes, replacing OPI the Show Must Go On. I don’t own any of the dupes so it was a must have for me. Gorgeous shimmery turquoise. Turquoise is one of my favourite colours, my old room was bright turquoise.

Lunar Eclipse is a very rich blue. Gorgeous, but not quite me. I'm not sure how often I'll wear it, but I do love the colour! Maybe I'll have to find a reason to wear it.

It's Not Rocket Science. It's not me? I'm not really into colours so ugly they're pretty. It's Not Rocket Science isnt exactly ugly...but it's kind of slime green, not all that pretty!

My First Orly's

Interesting day. Today I had a student grab my boobs. Granted it was one of my special needs students, but I totally wasn’t expecting her to grab my boobs as if she was going to say honk!

Dad popped round while I was at work and saw Nick. He came round to grab some undercoat, so they could start painting my childhood bedroom…ok my teenage bedroom. Funnily enough they love the colour I painted my new bedroom so much that my old bedroom is going to be the same colour. He also dropped of a parcel for me.

I bought my first Orly polishes. The Cosmic FX collection was realesed yesterday on my trusty online retailers website. Very exciting as I haven’t seen them in the shops here, although I may not have been looking! Who wants to pay $22.50 for a nail polish? I ordered the dark half of the collection. Wow they look amazing in the bottles, but I’m having a bit of trouble on the application. I’m so used to my OPI’s prowide brush, that the Orly brush is just not happening for me yet. I’m butchering it.
Space Cadet, Galazy Girl and Out of this World
Galaxy Girl is beautiful. I love the turquoise sheen, but I’m not sure I can pull off the dark deep maroon purple. The weathers finally getting warmer so I’m not sure such an autumn colour will work for me when I just want to see summer on my nails!

Space Cadet is amazing as well. I know it gets love from everyone, but in all honesty I cant say I’m feeling it. Its beautiful but almost too much on my nails. Then again I do love my pinks and neautrals!
Space Cadet (Sunshine)
Space Cadet (Shade)
Out of this World is my favourite of the three. Its deep dark blue/purple with pretty pink, purple, silverish sheens. Yes it’s not so douchromey, but it’s a stunning colour. I love it. I put it on straight away, but really messed up the application, so off it came.

Along with my Orly’s I received two OPI’s. Flit a Bit and Extra-Va-Vaganza. I forgot to empty my cart lol.
Flit a Bit and Extra-Va-Vaganza
Flit a Bit is amazing. It was almost a one coater. It’s the perfect sunny orange. I love it.

Extra-Va-Vaganza is not as orange as I thought. I’d hoped to be able to layer it over black for a sparkly Halloween look, but it’s not as orange as I thought and much thicker than I wanted. Yes I already own two of the burlesque glitters but this one seems to be more densly packed with glitter. Pretty yes, but me? I’m not sure, I’m not feeling Simmer and Shimmer or Sparkle-icious either. I know bad polish addict! Not loving glitters.
