Quick Pink Wednesday

I had plans to wear Cult Nails Devious Nature today...

But that didn't work out for me. So I'm still rocking China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier, trying to get my nails looking tip top for my wedding in 3 and a half weeks.

But I couldn't go with out showing a pink mani!

Here's one from the archives...the unseen archives.

China Glaze How About a Tumble
Yes, I have pictures of my Kaleidoscopes I still haven't got around to posting. Shame on me! They're such beautiful polishes. I was lucky enough to score How About a Tumble on ebay, for not such a hefty price.
How About a Tumble is stunning. I was worried the pink would be too pale and cool for me...it does have a smidge of purple tone to it. It is stunning though, so pretty and girly...these pictures are making me want to wear it now! But I don't have time to apply polish this morning.
I'm on crossing duty so have to leave for school earlier.

A Crackled Pink Wednesday

A few weeks ago I had a little fun on ebay. A few weeks is what I say when I can't remember exactly when I purchased things... but they came in the mail yesterday.

I needed For Audrey for my wedding toes, and I'd misplaced my bottle. Rather than just buying one polish I stocked up on a few. I decided to try out these cheap crackles Mia Secret Crackle. I bought an orange, yellow and deep pink.

Today I have Mia Secret Crackle Rose over Sparrow Me the Drama.

The reason it looks like I dipped my fingers in egg yolk and didn't clean them is I played with the yellow crackle first...It did not want to come off!

Anyway happy Pink Wednesday. I hope everyone has a fabulous day. I have an observation teaching reading today...So I'm slightly freaking.

Another Pink Wednesday

I'm feeling rather tired and ratty tonight.
I took pictures of my pink Wednesday nails when I painted them last night and meant to post them this morning. I had issues with getting out of bed though...

Today I decided on OPI DS Passion. Passion is such a pretty pink with scattered holo. A darkened pink version of Diamond...or at least that's what I was thinking when I reached for it to wear. I have posted Passion before, but sometimes a polish is just so pretty it needs to be seen again.

And now for why I'm feeling tired and ratty. I had an optometrist appointment today. I wanted to get contacts for our wedding coming up n July. I wanted to see, but there was no way I was wearing glasses! I have only worn glasses for four years and I always take them off for important events...like Christmas or birthdays or going out...or any good reason really.

Anyway, I've discovered I'm pro at putting contacts in...but really really, super bad at taking them out. So my eyes are red and irritated from me prodding and poking them whilst trying to get the damn things out.

Unfortunately at the optometrists I also ended up having to trim my nails. It was rather weird sitting their trimming my nails so I could get the contacts in with out scratching my eyes... I tried to avoid cutting my nails...but I poked myself with my nail a few times and boy did it hurt. At least the lady who was helping me put the contacts in and take them out felt sorry for me and commented on how nice my nails were and that the polish (Passion) was so pretty... That made me feel a little better.

So this is what my nails look like now...

I have no idea why that's rotated funny...but look at my little stubby index...I'll trim my ring and pinky later. I guess I need to anyway. At least Passion hides my break pretty well!

Another Pink Wednesday

Todays pink is a special pink...it was sent my way all the way from Liz at Liquid Jelly.

When she asked me what polishes I would like in a swap I said How I Met Your Magenta please!

I watch How I Met Your Mother religiously. So I needed to have this pretty neon pink with shimmer.
As with neons it's a little sheer, but I have white white nails anyway. I love this polish, so bright and pretty. The shimmer really does make it.

Belated Pink Wednesday

I didn't forget pink Wednesday, honest I didn't! I just got side tracked and didn't post my pink nails...

So here goes.

OPI Flower to Flower.

Flower to Flower
One of my favourite pinks and I love pink. Total girly girl. As a four year old I would only wear trousers if they were pink. It was all skirts and dresses for me. Now I live in my jeans, which are regular blue, not pink. I'm still a girly girl though and love me some pink polish! OPI Flower to Flower is delicious warm pink with stunning silver shimmer. Very awesome.

I should post something more substantial tomorrow, but I think I'll sleep now. I went back to school today... wow were my kids pleased to see me and was I not so pleased to hear about some of them. They were shocking for the poor relievers they had. Anyway...talking all day hurt my voice and their talking hurt my head!

Subtle Pink Wednesday

A perfectly subtle pink for this Wednesday. OPI Your Royal Shyness topped with two layers of Deborah Lippmann Some Enchanted Evening. Appropriate for a princesses wedding maybe? Subtle and sparkley pink...

A very short post today, because I'm in a zombiefied state...sleeeeeep more sleeeeeep!

Pink Wednesday

Today, well ok I took the picture yesterday....but I'm still wearing it today...I'm wearing one of my not so new, just unworn, Nyx Girls polishes. This is one of those polishes I ordered for the name.

I was tossing up whether to buy Roxy or Kinky Pink. Kinky Pink won. I'm glad I decided on Kinky Pink. It'sa gorgeous almost neon pink with shimmer and tiny glitter particles. My pictures can't capture how awesome Kinky Pink is. Rain and no sun is not the best for capturing almost neon pinks. I may have to try my hand at building a light box over winter if I want to get decent photos.

Anyway here is Kinky Pink...ignore the stubby nail!

Nyx Girls Kinky Pink
I used two coats, because I'm lazy, but there was still visible nail line. So three coats would have been better. It looks almost glass flecked in these pictures.

Pink Wednesday!

It's Wens'day, Wens'day...gotta wear pink on Wens'day....

I'm rocking my 2nd China Glaze Tronica polish....Hyper Haute.
And let me tell you, this is one hot polish alright!

Hyper Haute
This was two coats of Hyper Haute. It's a really nice bright dark pink. Again it's not a linear holo, it's not even a real crazy scattered holo. I've dubbed these impressionist holo's. Tiny dots of holo awesomeness that play with the light. I swear at times these polishes appear to have a shimmery dotted rainbow floating over the colour. argh! I can't explain the awesomeness.

Now I'm off to pick up my gorgeous nephew and we're going on an adventure. A 45min drive over a hill to pick up two cute little baby girl mice. He's been looking forward to our drive since his birthday on Wednesday, a week ago!

Pink Wednesday

Ok...I'm kinda cheating today. I'm actually wearing I Vant To Be A-Lone Star topped off with Today Was a Fairytale... But I haven't taken a picture of it and therefor there is no evidence I was too lazy to take it off and apply pink!

Luckily I have two awesome pinks to show.

So hopefully I can be forgiven!
