Some Happy Thoughts!

In the form of colours
I love colour, I love mixing paint to make new colours, I love plain boring normal colours...I just love colour. It always cheers me up.

I need cheering up today, it's the second weekend I've been sick. I didn't drink, I didn't eat anything bad, but when I woke up at 6am to take Nick to the bus...wow my tummy hurt. I felt so ill.

So I've thrown up, I haven't eaten and I'll felt sorry for myself all day. Luckily I feel better now, just random intense stomach pains when I move.

Here's my happy thoughts...

Milani- Bare in Mind
Milani- Dressmaker
Milani- Teddy Bare
I actually love all three of these Milani polishes. Yes I realise they're all supposed to be dupes of more expensive polishes, but I'm happy with my Milanis.

LA Splash- Wonderland
LA Splash-Golden Seahorse
Love, love, love these LA Splash polishes...need more! I didn't expect Wonderland to be so sheer...or to have hearts and flowers...not from the online swatch...but I like it!

Jordana- Mardi Gras
LA Colors- Purple Glitter
These last two were given to me by girls in my class for Christmas last year. They actually go very nicely together, layered.

Milani Take 2...

I just realised I never got around to adding the pics of the rest of the Milani 3D collection.

I'm lying in bed with my HP mini, suffering a head cold, or what feels like a head cold. We've only been back at school 3 weeks and I'm already coming down with the kids germs!

HD: silver scattered holo...I've come to the conclusion that I'm not actually into silvers. Sure they're pretty...but not as flattering as a nice grey. Silver's just not really me.

3D: Gold. Very yellow gold. Definitely 24k. Look how yellow that gold is. Yeah...not really me. Golds are more me than silvers, but still not really my thing. Well a nice neutral gold is awesome, but yellow yellow gold...I have a white gold engagement ring for a reason!

Hi Tech: luckily Hi Tech is in this set of pics. Hi Tech is the best green holo I own. So pretty and vibrant and a definite spring green. It looks more yellow in my pics, but it is very green!

First Day...and some Milani's

Wow I am exhausted.
Today was the first day back at school for the 250 children that attend the school I teach at.
It was an exciting and very tiring day.

It was exciting meeting the 24 awesome kids in my class. I taught in the middles last year, and this year I'm in the Juniors. I didn't know who half of the kids were until today.

The wireless network cut and I couldn't print anything until morning tea.
A kid threw up in my class.
One child wrote their favourite food was porn (popcorn).

Anyway...Milani's.
Milani is one brand that surprised me. Milani is not available in NZ, but luckily we do have Internet so I am able to order from Cherry Culture. Every colour I have tried I actually really like. Although I have only bought the ones I now I'll love!

Look What Came in the Post!

I checked the mail box today. NOTHING! The lid on the neighbours mail box flips open when I open our box...and she had a parcel. I was insanely jealous. I wanted my parcels!

I pottered round the house, cleaning, baked a delicious chocolate brownie...then went to pick Nick up.

First thing he does when he gets home is walk over to our french doors round the side of the house and says "Honey why are there all these parcels outside?".

The lovely postman had dropped 3 parcels round the side of the house for me, for safety. We have a very long driveway, so it was very much so out of his way. So kind :)

Dress Maker, Teddy Bare, Bare in Mind

Hi-Tech, 3D, HD

Golden Seahorse, Wonderland and Free lip balm that smells yummy.
I was expecting the first parcel I opened to be the color clubs I ordered, but instead it  was my Cherry Culture order. I'm tempted to order some sinful colors from Cherry Culture, they're having a Valentines sale. Entering code VDS20 at check out takes 20% off your purchase...so tempting!

The other two parcels were very exciting. They contained my very first Zoyas. I ordered the intimate collection sampler and the flame sampler, though mine still says Fire and Ice.

Dove, Marley, Gemma

Danii, Jules, Caitlin

Tiffany, Gloria, Crystal

Lisa, Sara, Valerie.
Ohhhh so pretty! I can't wait to try them all out. Sadly that will have to wait :(
I have another teacher only day, so should probably brush my hair and get ready to go!

Ahhh Headaches

I hate being sick. I hate headaches.

Unfortunately I woke up this morning with a rather bad headache, decided to ignore it, and went to see Tangled in 3D. Ok so a 3D movie isn't the best thing for a headache.

After the movie we needed to do our grocery shop, seeing as we haven't done a proper shop for 6 weeks.

By the time we'd finished our shop I was feeling awful. I've had a nap, I've rested my eyes, I've felt sorry for myself...and I've shopped. Lucky for me my HP mini is extremely portable, honestly I love my netbook to pieces. I'm very good at buying things...a skill I have to restrain as we're trying to save money for our wedding, but I just felt so crappy I wanted a pick me up...

Today I've managed to order 7 Color Club polishes, Zoya Flame Collection, Zoya Intimate Collection, 2 LA Splash Polishes, the rest of the Milani Holograms, Milani Bare in Mine, Teddy Bare and Dress Maker...

Ok...so that's 27 polishes...opps. I'm supposed to be cutting back...I'm supposed to be going through my polishes and passing on the ones I don't need...

Tangled was awesome though!

Exciting Parcel

Omg the most exciting parcel I have ever received in the mail arrived today. Ok...maybe not the most exciting ever, but I was super excited to open. Unfortunately I wasn't able to play with it straight away.

My darling told a work mate that yes it was perfectly fine for him to store things in our garage. I wouldn't have minded if it was a work mate I liked, or if my garage was sorted. My parents had just dropped off a bunch of boxes of my old stuff from their garage, and everything is a mess.

Just as he arrived, the neighbours burglar alarm started going off and going crazy. Turns out their alarm isn't monitered and they're away on holiday.

Then as I'm trying to sort out the alarm going off, the guy that dropped off Nicks workmate left again. Leaving the workmate in my lounge...getting out his laptop and making himself comfortable. Umm we never invited him in. The neighbours alarm started going again so I went back outside, and I saw the postie putting a very large box in my letter box. Forget about the neighbours alarm, I want my box!

Inside was...

Sunset Sail, Knotty, White Cap

Ahoy!, Below Deck, Sea Spray

Worth the Risque, Revvvolution

Marshmellow, Beach Party, Demure Vixen, Turquoise and Caicos

Rock Candy, Happily Ever After, Nude Beach and Petal Pink
Yes, that's the new China Glaze Spring Collection!!! I was so excited.

The Essies were a vain attempt to find a wedding appropriate polish. I think I'll end up sticking to OPI Your Royal Shyness, but thought I'd try find something. The Essies were disappointing.

Anyway it was almost lunch time and Nicks work mate was showing no signs of ever leaving, so I left and went to hang out with Nick's 4 year old nephew, who when he saw me looking at pictures of my nails, insisted I take a picture of his nails.

Three hours later I got a message from Nick saying please come home, we'll go out, we could go anywhere I wanted. Turns out his workmate was still there and had no intention of leaving as he had no money to get anywhere.

Luckily for Nick I saved the day, picked them both up, dropped his work mate at a train station with an ATM so he could get money out and then dragged Nick shopping for wedding invitation paper. Ha he did say we could go anywhere.

I do love my darling though, when his work mate started complaining and asking for food, instead of getting out the nice chips, he got the cheap boring ones out and gave him those.
