Color Club Fractured: Crush on You

Crush on you is a very bright purple/pink Fuchsia crackle. It's verging on neoness. Highly awesometastic.

Color Club Fractured: Have a bash

Have a Bash is one of the Color Club Fractureds I wasn't that excited about. I decided to buy it as I didn't have a blue cream shatter. To be honest I'm glad I bought it. Have a Bash is not your standard blue cream. It's hard to describe...but I would almost call it a greyed out neon... Such a vibrant bright blue but it's got this hint of greyed teal almost... ok my descriptions are officially bad! Look at the pictures instead.

Have a Bash fractures beautifully. It's more random, with larger breaks that show the base colour, than the OPI Shatters or China Glaze Crackles. Definitely an awesome polish to own!

Color Club Fractured: Tattered in Gold

I was going to post my Nyx Girls glitter polishes this morning, but I'll do that this afternoon. Everyone wants to see more Color Club fractureds. 

Here are the three colours I got on my nail swatch wheel. You can see Tattered in Gold shattered quite nicely and looks distinctly gold, not just metallic and almost silver.

I swatch all my crackles over a top coat, rather than a coloured polish. So you're just seeing the nail wheel plastic underneath. I actually really love these three colours and the formulae is great. You can see that Have a Bash and Crush on You have broken into more random pieces with bigger gaps than say the OPI Shatters. Same look but slightly different again. 

I've also been busy this morning and tested out Tattered in Gold over Zoya Veruschka. It stands out nicely against the dark green and best of all I was able to swatch and prepare dinner to go in the slow cooker, it dries nice and fast!

Look at those blingy sparkles with the flash! I've been looking forward to a gold shatter and I can't wait to see how this compares to the new China Glaze Crackles. Mum skyped me last night for some odd reason instead of ringing me on the phone, so I was able to hold the bottle of Tattered in Gold up to the web cam for her. She actually squealed. She is very excited to try out the gold shatter. Lucky for her I purchased an extra bottle of Tattered in Gold, and a replacement Black Shatter for her. She's getting so addicted now.

I had an awesome day today.

The kids were fantastic.
I came home to three parcels.
One was my sexy new 2 chillies one piece swimsuit.
One was OPI Shatters in Turquoise, Blue and navy.
The last one included three new Color Club Fractured polishes!!!

Crush on You, Have a Bash and Tattered in Gold.

I know a lot of people have been saying they're over shatters...but I love them. I don't have the patience to do  a lot of nail art....and this is my way of making my nails stand out.

I of course tested them out straight away. I was wearing China Glaze He's Going in Circles, which wasn't the best base for Tattered in Gold...but here are my quick pics anyway.

Unfortunately Tattered in Gold didn't turn out too great in my pics, but I can tell you it shattered beautifully when I swatched in on a nail wheel. It has shattered on my nail as well, but He's going in Circles just doesn't have enough contrast to let to shine in these pics.

Long Weekend

Well Happy Birthday Queen Elizabeth...even though it's not your birthday, but thank you anyway for a long weekend!

I'm so excited to have a long weekend this week. I've been feeling so run down and tired. I can't wait to head out and do some shopping. I'm rather keen for a new camera to take away with us to Rarotonga. My current camera is highly cute and waterproof, but not up to taking decent low light pictures.

Color Club Love 'em, Leave 'em with a helping of Red Shatter

 On Thursday an awesome order of color club polishes arrived and I'm so glad I ordered yet another Love 'em, Leave 'em because this one actually is the amazing holo I dreamed it would be. Well ok it's a lot more holo than my previous version! Anyway I've been looking out for combo's for mum to use with her red shatter and I think this one is awesome. Don't look too close though you might see my awful patch up job with tape I tried on my ring finger... Unfortunately I didn't apply it very well this time and couldn't stand it anymore... I peeled the tape off and the polish came with.

Love 'em, Leave 'em, Red Shatter and Rule Breaker

After peeling off my tape I had a naked nail in need of polish. Rule Breaker just happened to be sitting there. I thought I should probably try and make it look purposeful...I used some cute nail stickers I picked up on Wednesday to try and blend it in. I haven't taped my nail again, I'm kind of hoping the copious amount of top coat I applied will keep the break in place...I'll sort it out tonight.. :S

I'm cheating this week....this is not my current mani. you can tell because I don't have a stubby nail!
I was actually wearing Zoya Dove with China glaze Cracked Concrete today...and then when I changed my nails this evening I applied BB Couture Nike...nothing pink about my choices...

But these nails are pink, so enjoy some pink polishes for pink Wednesday.

Yes they were just all the pics of pink polish I had on the desktop computer! I normally have my pics on my HP Mini, seeing as that's what I use to blog. But the mini was too far away to get...
I've posted some of these before, but Too Pink To Hold Em, Space case and Ultra-Astral have never been seen. I really should post the pics of my OPI Texas polishes and my Color Club Starry Temptress ones...

Color Club Wicked Sweet

Writing color is very frustrating for me. I realise it's the American spelling, but it just looks wrong. I only spell colour as color when i write Color Club...because it's a name and as a teacher I definitely know that there's no wrong way to spell your child's name...but seriously spelling a name wrong on purpose, I mean adding a lot of extra letters and making sure it doesn't look anything like the way you want it said...  its not creative or original...and as for inventing names...random sounds strung together...seriously?

In saying that my class has rather normal names, this year. (Please don't be offended if you have an unusually spelt name...I mean people that spell Victoria...Vichtorriyah...)

Anyway on to nails!

Yum Gum: mmmm yum! Delicious lightly scented bubblegum pink. bright and light and just plain fun to wear.

Raspberry Rush: awesome! Yes it smells like fake raspberry...but look at that awesome bright dark pink.

Gimme a Grape Big Kiss: very nice purple...ok not really a grape shade in my mind but it smells yum and looks great.

Wicked Sweet: Shimmer! Really nice bright blue shimmer. Lightly scented with a nice sweet smell. Not too sugary, more like juicy fruit.

The Lime Starts here: Neon green....yup I have one of these. Sure it's not as light and high lightery...but i do have a neon green. It doesn't smell like cleaning products though...this does.

I Always Get My Man-darin: awesome orange with shimmer. I really love the polish but hate the smell...these three citrus scents remind me of cleaning! Good thing the scent is not over powering and quite wearable.

Get Your Lem-on: nice highlighter yellow. very bright and it has shimmer...awesome! Sheerer than the others, but i do have crazy nail whites. this is the most cleaning product smelling one.

And....apologies for any typos. Nick gave my parents my keyboard and I freaking hate this one. The keys don't go down properly and i can't seem to make capitals! but my dear mini hp is in the car...and I'm being lazy!

Bottle Spam

Over the last two weeks I've been very lucky. I've managed to find polishes at the top of my wishlist, for reasonable-ish prices. Ok, so I totally more than I should have more a couple...but they were still cheaper than what I would have had to pay in New Zealand at retail price. Talking about price of polish in NZ, I noticed yesterday that OPI was over $26. That's crazy.

These are the beauties that have arrived for me to play with over the last two weeks.

You Got Soul-ar, I Always Get My Man-darin, Get Your Lem-on and The :Lime Starts Here.

 These were the last few polishes, I didn't originally order from the Wicked Sweet and the Starry Temptress, Color Club collections. To be honest I can see why I didn't order them to start with, but Get You Lem-on and Always Get My Man-darin have some gorgeous shimmer in them. Unfortunately I think they smell like cleaning products. Blah citrus scents.

3D Fantasy, Hyper Haute, Gamer Glam and High Def

 Tronicas! I was so excited when these arrived yesterday. I wanted Gamer Glam for Nick, not for him to wear...but so I could dork out and wear it to game with him. lol...yeah. The Tronicas may not be crazy linear holographics but they are pretty and definitely have a 3D effect happening.

Kaleidscope Him Out, He's Going in Circles and Rated Holographic.

 I managed to get my hands on six of the China Glaze Holographics before Christmas, Nick gave them to me for Christmas. I've been searching for more ever since. I managed to find 5 more on ebay. Octa-Gone Wild and How About a Tumble are making their way to me from Europe, but these three arrived yesterday! If only I could find Visit Me in Prism...then I'd have the whole set!

DS Sapphire, DS Signature, DS Original, DS Passion and DS Diamond.

 These are my first DS polishes. These retail for close to $40 in New Zealand...So I haven't felt the need to purchase the DS polishes before. That is until I googled OPI DS...then I needed them. Original is my most expensive polish to date. It cost me more than my Lippmanns...just...but at $18 it was still cheaper than NZ prices, even if that was US$.

I Juggle...Men, So Many Clowns, So Little Time, Step Right Up and In the Spot-light Pink.

 I'm still on the hunt for the perfect wedding polish.I hoped my perfect polish might be in the Femme de Cirque collection from OPI. Gorgeous light shades and a pretty tiny flaked top coat...I just might find the polish I'm looking for! It would help if I had any idea of what I wanted...

Respect the World, It's Possible, Enchantress and Jade in the Shade

 I managed to get these Nicole's on ebay in a set, for a reasonable price. I really wanted some more of the novelty glitters and had a serious lemming for Respect the World. As far as I can tell Jade in the Shade is more frosty while Respect the World is sheerer and has more shimmer. I'm looking forward to comparing them in the sun. If we get some sun today!

Through the Looking Glass, Alice's Adventures and Down the Rabbit Hole.

Ocean Breeze, Candy Kisses and Peppermint.

 I love that these BYS polishes look more like frankens than something normally produced by polish companies. The first three are special Alice in Wonderland themed polishes and the bottom three are Diamond Shimmers. They're all crazy glittery. Down the Rabbit Hole is my favourite. Awesome black jelly with holo glitter. BYS are very easy to get a hold off in NZ and compared to other polishes, very cheap. The Diamond Shimmers were $5.90 and the Alice in Wonderlands $8.90.

Happy Birthday and Ruby Red Slippers.

 Lippmans...drool. Although to be honest I'm not feeling Ruby Red Slippers or Across the Universe. Well not as polishes by themselves. They get too clumpy with all that glitter. They look so much better layered, but that's just my opinion. Happy Birthday is awesome. I needed it even though I have the pink glitter Milani Gems. Happy Birthday is so celebratory.

Tink Pink and Sea of Cortez.

These are the other two polishes I ordered from BB Couture with the four from the Touch of Greece Collection. Tink Pink is supposed to be another option for a wedding polish and I just really wanted Sea of Cortez.

Wow, that is a lot of polish. Luckily I don't have much on order at the moment. I really should do a no buy...but I doubt I'd cope!

I other exciting news I joined the On Wednesdays We Wear Pink club, so on Wednesday I'll be rocking Pink. Love Mean Girls!

Super Moon Day

It's a beautiful sunshiney day!

I plan on spending my day swatching and cleaning the house. Although I need to pick up more cotton swabs and polish remover first! Maybe I can find some delicious bacon and hashbrowns on special for breakfast.

Happy Super Moon Day...I hope no one is freaking about natural disasters. We'll be having drinks in Wellington tonight...right on one of the major fault lines in New Zealand.
